While trying hook me on the code that I am writing, I am falling sleepy on my keyboard. That Aaloo sabji was at it’s best with some idlis and sambar, good enough to make me half awake ( optimistic view).

Now,
Tons of job at stake
Until I am awake.

Kathai Kathaiyam Karanamaam: Stories. Everyone

Kathai Kathaiyam Karanamaam:

Stories. Everyone likes stories. You, Me and anyone like stories. It is good to hear stories. How is to tell stories. Have you ever thought about the brainwave behind the story. The process of fun, happiness and sheer imagination that it takes to build a story. The debacles that a writer undergoes before he is done with a story.

There are stories everywhere. Many are around us in one form or other. What it takes is meticulous observation of events and consolidation of them to get to the crux of a story. From Archie comics to Kumudam weekly, from Humlog to Junoon, from Chithi to Anni, from Poornam Vishwanathan plays to Crazy Mohan dramas, from Bheemsingh’s Black and Whites to Kamal’s Sandiyar, there are stories everywhere. As tamil cinema world is wading through the sea of no-story-movies, a group of people…..

Hey, I’m making it dramatic and silly. That is what story telling is all about. Be Right Back.

We were out to the

We were out to the Door County which is up North Wisconsin to enjoy the fall colors. The Door county is a strip of land extending inside Lake Michigan. At the tip of door county is an island called Washington Port and we had to take the car in the ferry to move around in the island. With thousands of maple trees with colors like bright yellow, hot red, red-green mix and the rest of 65 million colors, I was colorblind at the end of the trip. I desperately wanted to see some black and white colors to nullify the color effect.

What was interesting was the 4 hour drive from our place in Chicago. Covered with the early morning fog, the roads appeared as though they ended just 2 feet before the car. It was a cool drive through the fog but the music saved us from getting scared. All the 14 hours of the trip, the music was just like yet another friend inside the car. While we were deep in the woods all I did was to play Pachai Niramey… and we felt like that bubbly madhavan leaping to the sky with dry yellow all around him. We had this small game of popular demand and played songs according to the request. The most requested and the most played song was Ithunundu Muthathila Ishtam from Dhool. Vidyasagar is reaching his pinnacle, that means.

Weekend Tidbits

Cubs are really on winning streak and they have this last game to make it to the world series and meet Red Sox there. Will they ?
AR Rahman is missing this diwali. With Bharathiraja’s Kankalaal Kaithu Sei and Nee 20 Naan 18 getting delayed, A R Rahman will be back with Mani Saar’s Aayutha Ezhuthu during Pongal.
Shankar’s assistant is directing Arjun’s diwali flick called Ottran (SPY). No expectations for this on air and I sense this one taking lead over other movies. But given Arjun’s recent reputational downfall, gifted by the media, I could be wrong too.

P.S: Elango smelled something cookin’ in my blog. He got it right but just a post before.

Thanks to Kumaraguru for with

Thanks to Kumaraguru for with his fast suggestion, I was able to replace the scribbled board with myshoutbox. If you are suffering from the loss of zonkboard try this one. much more feature oriented.

Looks like it faster than the pay-only zonkboard. Lets load it with comments and then comment on the speed.

Zonkboard, the blabber board useful

Zonkboard, the blabber board useful in allowing instant comments to the blogs is gone pay-only. So I am taking that out off my blog and until I find an alternate….wait.

Last night was amazing with CUBS winning the game against MARLINS with 4 home runs only to end up with a series split.

While it’s happening here, The Great WALL of India, Rahul Dravid, celebrated a double century back in India proving he is the most consistent of all times. Also the tiger’s century proved he is worth the gamble and hope he wins the match with an innings defeat.

After the first flash mob

After the first flash mob performed in India, Rohit Tikmany, the organizer has called off the flash mobs in mumbai and has also closed his flash mobs site.

The reason was simple. After the flash mob on October 4th, he received a telephone call from Amitabh Gupta at the Mumbai Police commissioner office, who explained that prohibitory orders were still in place in Mumbai after the twin blasts of August 25.

I am sure there are some more mischievous dudes out there waiting to do it. Hey but don’t do it in the already tense mumbai.

A Dramatically Different World Goldman

A Dramatically Different World

Goldman Sachs‘s research on The Path to 2050 shows a positive path for countries like Brazil, Russia, India and China. They call this the BRIC and these are the countries which are going to dramatically change the list of the world’s ten largest economies.

Here are some highlights :

Over the next 50 years, Brazil, Russia, India and China—the BRICs economies—could become a much larger force in the world economy. We map out GDP growth, income per capita and currency movements in the BRICs economies until 2050.

The results are startling. If things go right, in less than 40 years, the BRICs economies together could be larger than the G6 in US dollar terms. By 2025 they could account for over half the size of the G6. Of the current G6, only the US and Japan may be among the six largest economies in US dollar terms in 2050.

The list of the world’s ten largest economies may look quite different in 2050. The largest economies in the world (by GDP)mayno longer be the richest (by income per capita), making strategic choices for firms more complex.

Aayudha Ezhuthu – Update: Mani

Aayudha Ezhuthu – Update:

Mani Ratnam is in news again. His latest film Aayudha Ezhuthu or Ayudha Ezhuthu in tamil and Yuva in hindi are getting ready fast. After 10 days of shooting in kovalam, the crew has just moved to mumbai port to shoot scenes involving Madhavan and Esha Deol.

It looks like Vairamuthu would pen the lyrics for AR Rahman again after the BOYS break. You can expect another Alai Payuthey in terms of music. Also first time Mani is experimenting the Sync Sound technology so it reduces the dubbing time. Esha Deol has already proven in her television interview that she is well versed in tamil with the help of her mother Hema Malini.

It is expected that the entire tamil version to be shot in 35-40 days which is one of the quickest films in these days when films are being shot for months and years.

The most cutest and newest phenomenon of flash mobs hits mumbai. I hope there could be a flash mob in chennai also. Probable places are Spencer Plaza- Landmark shop, Cozee restaurant in besant nagar, Sathyam theatre and Alsa Mall in egmore. So now that the places are suggested, someone do it.

Read rediff’s account of the mumbai flash mob. Also the script and pics of the mumbai mob here.
