Swades website up!!

Javed Aktar, AR Rahman and Ashutosh

Set in modern day India, Swades is a film that tackles the issues facing the citizens of this nation on a grass roots level, says the Swades website. To add more, what begins as a simple mission prompted by nostalgia and affection turns into a journey into the heartland of rural India, both literally and metaphorically. The site is designed intuitively and loaded with tons of wallpapers and stills. This pic of A R Rahman with Ashutosh and Javed Aktar seemed interesting.

The first line of the site reads, From the Writer & Director of the Academy Award Nominated ‘Lagaan’. Though I have reservations about sending Indian movies to the Oscars, this one was quite heartening to see.

  1. Awaiting Swades…BTW jus scrolling down the page, one can see that there are only film and film related posts.Lazy ,jus balance the content dude,it’s too filmi…huh.

  2. Hey Manoj. Its okay. You need to someone to post all filmi related stuff as well. The way lazy gets info from nook and corner is amazing. you see it first on lazy’s site always 😉

Hey what is ARR doing there? Very nice pic. Interesting to see his face reaction

  3. Yeah F e r r a r i agreed. But then i insisted on writing other stuff as well frequently.BTW are you the F e r r a r i who was fighting(still fighting?) at tfmpage for Rahman.I stopped going there months before,as ppl turned fanatics throwing decency to winds.Jus got reminded seeing your comments on the pic 🙂

  4. ‘Yeh tara woh tara’ is good to hear,Rahman is at it again, though lengthy, the cute voices of Pooja and vignesh at the end enhance the charm of the track.

‘Yeh Jo Dais Hai Tera’ is again great with Rahman singing it brilliantly.

Other than this …’Saanwariya..’,for me it sounds much average.Others are yet to grow on me.

  5. Gotcha Manoj. But sometimes it happens. I personally believe blogging is a spontaneous act and the moement I see something that could be worthy on this blog, it comes over. I amy not blog about it immediately, but it certainly gets a place in my ‘to blog’ list. Anyway, Thanks and point noted.
