Chennayil Oru Mazhai Kaalam – A R Rahman

Looks like Gautam Vasudev Menon(not due to numer(ous)ology), is pretty active. This poster of Chennayil Oru Mazhai Kaalam says the shooting is already on.

Is this even a legitimate poster ? Because I see an interesting combination of Rahman and Gautam coming together. If this is true, we are in for a treat.

BTW, Brilliant Poster. Tells us a lot about the attitude of the film. The story – Jeans clad yuppies from the chennai underworld and their lives. I hope the script stands for this buildup.

Here’s a candid interview with Gautam Menon on Vikram, Vijay, Vaaranam Aayiram et al.

  1. Gautam Menon changed his name to G Vasudev M bcoz, his dad wanted him to be named Vasudev it seems. Thats what he’s said in an interview to Indian express.

Also, ARR – GVM combo is authentic. GVM wanted to do a movie with ARR and so opted for ARR. Harris Jayaraj, in another interview to an orkut fan has said that COMK was a small film for him :O.

  2. Barath, Thanks a lot for the link.

    Anantha, Thanks.

LKS, Yes. I read that in that interview. Changed the post to reflect that.

Abhi, Good to know that people are liking it already. Waiting to watch.

  3. Lets hope atleast in this film Gautam’s villain’s arent long haired and keep threating the heroes (heroine here)…

Movie about Software professionals…worth a watch i guess.

And ARR seems to be kicked up with this project. I read that in one of his recent interviews.

  5. there isn’t single indian movie which has realistically shown the people software industry… i am quite skeptical about this one too… let us see if atleast Gautam pulls it off
